Contact Your Representative to Support Lupus Funding
For decades, Congress has funded lupus programs at the CDC, Office of Minority Health and Department of Defense – a $211 million investment that has advanced lupus research and helped tens of thousands of people live with lupus and even thrive.  All of it is now at risk. The programs that lupus warriors have built through years of advocacy could be eliminated in just a few months.

That’s why your advocacy is needed TODAY more than ever before.

The Lupus Foundation of America helped to establish the Congressional Lupus Caucus in 2012 and we are working with the Caucus co-chairs, Representatives Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) and Bill Keating (D-MA), to build support for lupus programs on Capitol Hill. In fact, Reps. Garbarino and Keating are currently circulating a letter in Congress that not only supports continued funding for lupus programs but also urges the Appropriations Committee to increase that funding!

Contact your elected officials today and urge them to sign the letter and support their constituents living with lupus. Together we have made a $211 million difference for lupus and together we can ensure Congress continues that investment to improve the health and lives of people living with lupus everywhere.
