Last March, the legislature approved a supplemental budget that included $85 million for the state’s emergency shelter system. In the latest annual budget, they approved $325 million for the shelter system, knowing that wouldn’t be enough. Governor Healey is quick to spend taxpayer money for illegal immigrants, but the Governor refuses to give us a tally of the total costs of this snowballing problem, make real policy changes in our state, or hold President Biden accountable for his failure to enforce our immigration laws.
Tell your lawmakers to stop the flow of taxpayer funding on illegal immigrants until we see a full accounting of the costs to our state and reforms to our policies.
