Tell Beacon Hill to Stop Using Taxpayer Dollars on Out-of-Control Illegal Immigrant Spending
Our state’s shelter system is overwhelmed and newly arriving illegal immigrants continue showing up unannounced, forcing our municipalities to scramble to deal with the consequences. Record numbers of illegal immigrants continue to cross our southern border and make their way all the way to Massachusetts. The problem is escalating quickly.

Last March, the legislature approved a supplemental budget that included $85 million for the state’s emergency shelter system. In the latest annual budget, they approved $325 million for the shelter system, knowing that wouldn’t be enough. With no surprise, money is rapidly running out and the Healey administration has requested $250 million more in a recent supplemental budget.

Massachusetts is spending more than $45 million a month on programs and emergency shelter for newly-arrived immigrants and displaced families. That’s $540 million a year and we know that isn’t the final tally.

Governor Healey is quick to spend taxpayer money for illegal immigrants, but the Governor refuses to give us a tally of the total costs of this snowballing problem, make real policy changes in our state, or hold President Biden accountable for his failure to enforce our immigration laws.

Tell your lawmakers to stop the flow of taxpayer funding on illegal immigrants until we see a full accounting of the costs to our state and reforms to our policies
