The Child Protection Improvements Act (CPIA) Passes in the House: Thank your Representative!

The U.S. House of Representatives just voted to pass H.R. 695, the Child Protection Improvements Act (CPIA)! It's because of your efforts that this important bill got a successful vote. Now it's time to thank your Representatives for supporting this legislation and to also let your Senators know that protecting young people should be their priority.

The bipartisan Child Protection Improvements Act provides access to all youth serving organizations to run national FBI fingerprint background checks on their volunteers and employees in a timely manner. FBI fingerprint background checks are a critical component of a comprehensive background check, but thousands of organizations don't have access or cannot afford them.

As Congress continues its work it must hear from constituents like you so that they continue to put youth safety and young people first!
