Use Congressional Summer Recess to Take Action for Mentoring

In August, Members of Congress will return to their hometowns for district work periods and it's just the time for mentoring advocates to educate and communicate with their elected officials. Only you can make this recess a summer of action for the mentoring movement.

During recess you can take multiple actions that will inform legislation and policies that affect young people. Mentoring advocates can use their voices to let Members of Congress know that federal funds for mentoring expand opportunity for youth, that safety comes first in mentoring relationships and that supportive mentoring relationships have a positive impact on school attendance all in one message.

You can urge your Members of Congress to prioritize youth mentoring throughout summer recess and the year by taking action today!
