Thanks to swift bipartisan action and strong advocacy, Congress helped stop the cancellation of approximately $2 billion in Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) funding for mental health and substance-use services. This funding is critical to preventing overdose deaths, expanding access to mental health and substance-use care, and supporting recovery in the community.
While the proposed cuts would not have directly impacted Mental Health Partnerships’ current services, they would have caused significant harm to the individuals, families, and communities we serve. The quick response from Members of Congress helped prevent serious disruption to providers and protect care for people who rely on these programs every day.
TAKE ACTION:
Please take a moment to thank your Members of Congress for speaking up and supporting mental health and substance-use funding.
Thank you for your support.
