Support Increased Funding for the Mentoring Matching Grants!

With the anticipation of the House Ways and Means budget being released, it's critical that we collectively advocate for an increase with members of the Massachusetts House to ensure we see an increase in the FY20 final budget for the Mentoring Matching Grants line item (7061-9634).

Your advocacy and engagement with can help raise funding for youth across the Commonwealth to $1,000,000!

Please contact your State Representatives to request $1,000,000 funding for the Mentoring Matching Grants in the Governors Budget to added to their list of budget priorities.

With an increase of funding to $1,000,000, we can provide supportive, developmental relationships to at least 2,000 new and existing youth-adult mentor matches, but we cannot do it without you! Your voice is the most important asset in securing expanded empowerment opportunities for our youth. Enter your address in the tool on the right to find the contact information for your legislators, and make your voice heard NOW!

Over the last 18 years, this state investment has supported over 10,000 mentor matches and achieved many positive outcomes for youth, such as improved attitude towards school and classroom behavior, increases in self confidence, self efficacy and positive attitude about the future.
