Alliance to End Hunger Sends Letter to Appropriations Leadership for Full investment in All Food and Nutrition Programs
January 10, 2024 by Meals on Wheels

The Alliance to End Hunger, of which Meals on Wheels America is a member, sent a letter to both House and Senate Appropriations leadership urging them to fully fund all food and nutrition programs as Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 funding debates continue. If funding cuts are enacted, the proposed cuts to date will directly harm and influence the ability of senior nutrition programs and other providers to sufficiently serve their communities. This letter comes at a time when 73% of local programs delivering Older Americans Act Title III-C Nutrition Programs report facing higher demand for home-delivered meals than before the pandemic.
