Ask Your U.S. Senators to Sign Senator Amy Klobuchar’s Letter Supporting $10 Million for Myotonic Dystrophy Research

Please email your U.S. Senators and ask them to sign Senator Amy Klobuchar’s letter to the Senate Appropriations Committee supporting $10 million for peer-reviewed myotonic dystrophy research through the Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP).

The deadline for Senators to sign the letter is Monday, May 11 at noon EDT.

Myotonic dystrophy is one of the least federally funded genetic disorders, even as research brings us closer to potential treatments. Increased federal funding can help move research and clinical trials forward at a critical time for the DM community.

Please contact your Senators as soon as possible to ask them to sign the letter and let you know if they plan to do so before the deadline!
