BREAKING NEWS: NACS has learned that Senators could vote on the Credit Card Competition Act this week.
Credit and debit swipe fees have more than doubled over the past decade and now sit at a staggering $160.7 billion per year. And with reports that Visa and Mastercard are set to increase their network fees again next month, it's finally time for Congress to step in and pass the Credit Card Competition Act.
Senators will be voting on this critical piece of legislation next week as part of a spending package, but bankers have been spending millions each month aggressively calling on Congress not to act.
NACS is calling on each and every member of our industry to fight back and let lawmakers know we need relief from skyrocketing credit card swipe fees NOW.
