Tell Congress: Make Investments that Help Kids
Congressional leaders are beginning to take requests from their constituents on funding for programs in fiscal year 2026. Separate from the budget resolution process Congress is also pursuing, the annual appropriations process is what is used to fund discretionary priorities across the government, including key early childhood programs like Child Care and Development Block Grant, Head Start and IDEA preschool special education and early intervention.

We understand the importance of providing affordable, high quality care and education for children and families and the need for early childhood educators to have the resources to be able to support both themselves, and the children in their care.

NAEYC and our partners are working hard to lift up the needs of early educators and families in conversations with Congressional offices. Add your voice to ours by taking action today and sending a message to your members of Congress.
