Tell Your Members of Congress to Protect Sensitive Locations from Immigration Enforcement

A January 2025 change to federal immigration policy allowing federal agents to carry out immigration enforcement actions in previously protected locations like child care programs and schools has led to harmful impacts on children, families, and educators across the country.

As Congress considers funding for the Department of Homeland Security, we are encouraging Members to prioritize accountability measures that protect children and educators, including reinstating protections against immigration enforcement activities in sensitive locations. These previously longstanding protections have been embraced under bipartisan leadership for over three decades to provide a sense of safety for families and educators.

Email your members of Congress today and urge them to ensure child care programs remain safe spaces for children, families, and early childhood educators.
