Enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) Subsidies are set to expire at the end of 2025 without Congressional action.
These subsidies make health insurance premiums more affordable for millions of Americans. If the subsidies expire, individuals will be forced to pay much higher premiums and may forego coverage entirely.
According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the expiration of these subsidies alone would result in 4.2 million more people being uninsured by 2034.
As you know, RHCs do not receive federal funding to help cover uninsured patients. Thus, a decrease in patients with insurance could impact your facilities' continued ability to provide care.
NARHC supports the Bipartisan Premium Tax Credit Extension Act (H.R.5145), which would extend premium tax credits through 2026.
Please use this tool to ask your Members of Congress for support in extending the enhanced ACA subsidies.
