The NASW-WA Legislative Action Committee brings social work professionals and students an opportunity to learn about the policy process in Washington State. The 2025 NASW-WA Policy Conference will be offered via a virtual platform on February 5th  (online) AND in-person on February 17th at St. Martin's University. 

The in-person event will feature speakers and policy professionals, NASW-WA's policy agenda, and activities to increase knowledge about the legislative process.

The event will be followed by opportunities to interact with your elected officials (you are responsible for setting appointments with your lawmakers if you choose to do so).

The event will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM PST. Registration is required and closes February 14th.

If you plan to participate in-person: The live, in-person event will be at St. Martin's University located at 5300 Pacific AVE SE, Lacey, WA 98503. The event will be held in the Marcus Pavilion Building. If you plan to show up to the live event in person, doors will open at 9:00 AM PST

For the in-person event, you should indicate when you register that you are planning to attend in-person and what accommodations you will need. 

Doors will open at 9:00 AM PST. The event begins at 10:00 AM PST.

 

Travel Details

The live, in-person event will be at St. Martin's University located at 5300 Pacific AVE SE, Lacey, WA 98503. The event will be held in the Marcus Pavilion Building.

Attendees will be released at noon to go to the Capitol. For parking and a map of the Capitol in Olympia, click here.

For the in-person event at St. Martin's University, doors open at 9:00 AM PST; the Event Begins at 10:00 AM PST.

Participants will break off into Legislative Districts (numbered by table).
