NATSO Needs You to Act Today: Extend the Biodiesel Blenders' Tax Credit
NATSO is asking its membership to contact their members of Congress and urge them to support extending the biodiesel tax credit. This is an important, time-sensitive request and we ask that you take just a few minutes right now to send a short email to your elected representatives.

Congress is in the process of debating a long-term appropriations package to fund the federal government for the remainder of the fiscal year.  This may be the last must-pass piece of legislation that Congress will consider for many months.  It is imperative for the truckstop and travel center industry that Congress include a provision extending the biodiesel tax credit as part of this larger spending package.

Although most senators support the biodiesel tax credit and a handful of other "tax extenders" that expired at the end of 2017, there is far less support in the House of Representatives. For this reason, we are urging all NATSO members to contact their Members of Congress and encourage them to tell their party's leader (Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA) for Democrats, and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA) for Republicans) that "tax extenders must be included in the final spending package that lawmakers are currently negotiating."
