Stop the Harm to Women
A recent study by a coalition of researchers found the abortion pill to be of far greater harm than has been reported.  Mifepristone, the first pill of the drug-inducing abortion process, works to starve the baby in the womb before the then dead baby is expelled with the aid of another drug, misoprostol.

The use of mifepristone was approved by the FDA in 2000.  At that time, the Clinton Administration set protocols for usage of the drug, which included an in-person doctor visit, prescription and administration by a licensed physician, and the requirement for follow-up visits to the doctor. Today, there are no regulations on the drug!  The changes in the past handful of years allow for mifepristone to be bought online from inside and outside the U.S. without any visit to a doctor.  Thus, the mother is left on her own to be the patient and the abortionist at the same time.  It also means that anyone can obtain the drug, including minors, abusers and traffickers.

The current data, taken from public information collected by several insurance companies, indicates that at least 1 in 10 women who use the abortion-inducing drug risk serious harm. From 2017 to 2023, of the 865,727 women in the study who took the pill, 94,605 women experienced serious adverse events, complications that put many of them in the emergency room.  So, the drug is not just unsafe, it doesn’t work as described. Some of the complications that women experienced came from the fact that not all the fetal body parts got expelled, which can cause excessive bleeding, sepsis and other problems.

There needs to be a thorough review of mifepristone and, at a minimum, there needs to be a return to previous protocols.  Dispensing through telehealth does not protect women, and it certainly does not convey the seriousness of the complications involved with the drug’s usage.

Contact your representatives in Congress, the Commissioner of the FDA, Martin A. Makary, M.D. and the Health and Human Services Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and tell them to take action to stop harming women.

Now is the time to act! And, please pray for God’s guidance and protection on all who will make decisions about the use of mifepristone.

Hello, my name is __________. Please convey to Secretary Kennedy that women deserve to know the truth about the abortion-inducing drug, mifepristone. The FDA should review the drug and the harm that it is causing to thousands of women and, at a minimum, there is a need to restore the patient safety protocols like those in place when the drug was introduced in 2000.

11% of the women having chemical abortions are being harmed!!  This cannot be tolerated.
