Battle Over Dietary Supplements Continues
Friends,

Last year, the dietary supplement industry won a decisive battle against over-reaching California lawmakers when Governor Gavin Newsom vetoed a bill to restrict and prohibit access to dietary supplements. But these same lawmakers continue to ignore science and have reintroduced their bill on the premise that eating disorders and dietary supplements are connected.

Thousands of health and wellness advocates like you wrote, called, and emailed California lawmakers urging their opposition to this bill because the FDA has found zero correlation between eating disorders and dietary supplements. We need you to join us again in the fight. Should these damaging proposals become law, they will block us from providing consumers with innovative, safe, and well-researched products.

Time after time, our industry has seen the results of being actively engaged in the policy process, and this fight is no different.

We can all agree eating disorders are serious illnesses. However, legislative proposals like AB 82 demonstrate policy-making that lacks science-based evidence. Please write to your members of the California legislature urging their opposition to AB 82.

Thank you,
