Thank Lawmakers for Passing Final SBIR/STTR Extension
Following a nearly four-month lapse in operations, Sen. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) has ushered through a deal with Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) to re-open the highly-successful Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.

On March 17th, the House of Representatives passed the Small Business Innovation and Economic Security Act (S. 3971), which would extend the programs through Sept. 30, 2031. The Senate advanced the legislation earlier in the month. The legislation now must be signed by the President before becoming law.

Please take a few moments TODAY to thank lawmakers for supporting the bill's final passage, making sure that high-tech small businesses are not excluded from government-funded R&D work.
