  New Leadership class gearing up for Program 1  
  The New Year is always a good time for a fresh start. To that end, Nevada REALTORS® Leadership Academy is about to kick off its 19th year of programming as its new class will experience the Program #1 curriculum Feb. 12-14 in Scottsdale, Ariz. The new class is comprised of 16 ambitious REALTORS® from across the Silver State.

Las Vegas REALTOR® Tim Kuptz, will serve as the Leadership Academy dean in 2018. Julie Youngblood (Las Vegas) is the past dean while Marcela Syme (Elko) is the second-year trustee, and Stephanie Dibbs (Las Vegas), a 2017 program graduate is the rookie trustee.

  Nevada REALTORS® to attend world's largest real estate conference, promote Silver State opportunities  
  Leading REALTORS® from throughout Nevada will be showing off real estate and investment opportunities in the Silver State by attending MIPIM, the world's leading global real estate market, business conference and networking event, being held March 13-16 in Cannes, France.

Nine Nevada real estate leaders are attending the event, representing the statewide Nevada REALTORS®, the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS® (GLVAR), the Reno-Sparks Association of REALTORS® (RSAR) and the Commercial Alliance Las Vegas (CALV). Click here to read more.

  USA Today: 10 states predicted to have strong housing markets in 2018  
 

Nevada tops the list

The housing market in the U.S. has experienced a major uptick over the past two years. In 2016, existing home sales were the strongest they've been since 2006. More than a decade after the worst housing crisis in U.S. history, it seems we're finally in a sustainable recovery period.

As we enter 2018, the housing market shows no signs of slowing, and is slated to remain among the world's top performers, according to a forecast from Fitch Ratings. U.S. home prices are expected to rise 4.6 percent this year.

  Region XI Conference nears, registration open  
  The annual Region XI spring conference is quickly approaching. The 2018 conference is set for April 11-13 at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, NM. In addition to the customary caucus meeting and networking events, Region XI has been selected to host one of NAR's new Member Edge events. This one-day, high-energy event is geared toward REALTORS® who are eager to learn cutting-edge technologies and business practices as well as the latest industry news and NAR resources that can benefit business and clients.

Organizers are calling the upcoming event a spectacular education and networking program at one of the West's premiere resorts. Festivities kick off April 11 with REALTOR® party training and a Region XI 'Welcome to New Mexico Fiesta' dinner. April 12 features the Members Edge programming.
