REALTORS® continue to promote fair housing

2018 marks 50th anniversary of Fair Housing Act
As 2018 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, the National Association of REALTORS® is encouraging all members of the REALTOR® family to join in the commemoration of this special Anniversary.
NAR's commemoration will focus on three key elements of Fair Housing:
  • Acknowledging the organization's past role in the fight for fair housing;®
  • Understanding how we as a nation are constantly improving our commitment to fair housing; and
  • Embracing REALTORS®' role at the forefront of advancing fair housing, leading efforts to address community fair housing issues.
REALTORS® throughout Nevada and across the country are continually striving to advance fair housing efforts and a variety of fair housing issues.  Our REALTORS® are committed to helping their clients achieve the lifelong dream of home ownership and advancing private property rights for all.  In turn, the livelihood and success of a REALTOR® depends on a thriving market that embraces equal opportunity. Homeownership is one of life's great highlights, but ask homeowners about paying property tax and they'll tell you it's one of their least favorite responsibilities. Savvy homeowners and prudent buyers are probably aware of the property tax rates in their area, but they may not understand the factors that can drive their property tax rates up. We're here to help! (With the understanding part, that is.) View the complete article by clicking here.
