President's Cup trophy arrives in Nevada

 The awards are in. Nevada REALTORS® received its President's Cup trophy earlier this month. The shiny Cup is proud displayed in the lobby of the Nevada REALTORS® building in Reno.
"This is an amazing achievement by all and shows how amazing this great state of ours is," 2018 Nevada REALTORS® President Heidi Kasama said last month. "I am so proud to be a REALTOR® in Nevada. Greg Martin (2017 Nevada REALTORS® President) deserves high praise for his spirit and drive which spurred this great achievement."
Nevada is one of just 16 state's nationally to garner the prestigious award and the only one to see all of its local associations earn the distinction as well. |

Region XI Conference approaching quickly, registration open

 The annual Region XI spring conference is just a month away. The 2018 conference is set for April 11-13 at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, NM. In addition to the customary caucus meeting and networking events, Region XI has been selected to host one of NAR's new Member Edge events. This one-day, high-energy event is geared toward REALTORS® who are eager to learn cutting-edge technologies and business practices as well as the latest industry news and NAR resources that can benefit business and clients.
Organizers are calling the upcoming event a spectacular education and networking program at one of the West's premiere resorts. Festivities kick off April 11 with REALTOR® party training and a Region XI 'Welcome to New Mexico Fiesta' dinner. April 12 features the Members Edge programming. Ellie Mae: "Significant" Reduction in Closing Times

 The 5-point surge in the share of refinancing loans that closed in January didn't survive the month. Ellie Mae's Origination Insight Report shows that share dropped from 45 percent to 43 percent in February. Refinancing lost market share for both VA and conventional loans but held steady at an already low 28 percent of FHA mortgages. Purchase loans grew their share 2 percentage points, rising to 57 percent.
The distribution of loans across guarantors was unchanged from January at 19 percent FHA loans, 67 percent conventional, and 10 percent VA. The VA share has not changed since February 2017. Click here to read the full article. |
