Forums scheduled in North, South to debate Question 3
Nevada REALTORS® members have been asking for resources to help them understand Question 3 regarding "Deregulation of Public Utilities". Below are two REALTORS® supported events (one in Reno, one in Las Vegas) to help our members get the information they need to decide. NVR encourages all REALTOR® members to vote in the election. Early voting begins October 20 and election day is November 6. Watch for the REALTOR® voter guide coming to your mailbox and email. We support candidates who support REALTOR® issues.

The Nevada Independent will host one of its IndyForums on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. to debate the pros and cons of Question 3. Former chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Jon Wellinghoff and Assemblyman Chris Brooks will headline the debate in a lively exchange moderated by Jon Ralston and Indy reporter Riley Snyder.

The IndyForum will be at Myron's Cabaret at the Smith Center in Las Vegas. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. with the main event at 7 p.m. Click here to register.

•The Reno-Sparks Association of REALTORS® is hosting its REALTOR® Informed Voter series. The first presentation of the series is titled "Deregulation of the Public Utilities - Question 3 on the Ballot." The presentation is set for Oct. 4 from 2-3:30 p.m. at RSAR and will discuss two key factors of the question: Deregulation vs. regulated PUC and open market vs. utility infrastructure. Click here for event registration and to view the event flier. The presentation will be streamed on Facebook Live.

Part II of the series will focus on SJR14 - Property Valuation - Elimination Depreciation. That date for that event has not been finalized.
