ADVOCACY TAB
As the actions out of Washington evolve daily, below are a number of Advocacy Q&As to address the ongoing fixes being proposed and implemented in response to the pandemic. Additionally, NAR is "Putting Members First With the "Right Tools, Right Now." In light of the challenges presented by COVID-19, and its impact on the real estate industry, NAR is taking steps to support members through these uncertain times. The Right Tools, Right Now initiative, which was activated once before in 2009, makes new and existing NAR products and services available for FREE or at significant discounts - right now - and is available to REALTORS® and REALTOR® Associations.

  LEGAL: Recent FAQs into the Legal Information Line

An overwhelming majority of questions received into the Legal Information Lines relate to Coronavirus and its impact on REALTORS®.  The state of Nevada continues to designate real estate professionals and property managers as an essential business.  As such, Nevada REALTORS® continues to provide up-to-date information to its members during unprecedented times to help navigate these uncharted waters.

  Las Vegas REALTOR® named to NAR's 30 Under 30 list  
  The National Association of REALTORS® released its annual 30 Under 30 list last week and the Silver State saw some rare representation. Madison Blau BenShimon, of Las Vegas, was honored on the prestigious list, making her just the third Nevada honoree in the past five years.

Adding to the significance, Blau BenShimon is among the current group of honorees, who earned recognition on the 20th anniversary class of 30 Under 30. Since NAR's first group of 30 was recognized in 2000, the 21 classes have built the roster of honorees to 630.

  NAR partners with Census Bureau in promoting 2020 Census  
  The United States Census Bureau has designated the National Association of Realtors® as a National Partner for the upcoming 2020 Census. With the Bureau seeking to enlist the support of various national organizations, NAR is asking the 1.4 million Realtors® nationwide to help drive Census participation in their respective communities.

In addition to determining appropriate Congressional representation, roughly $1.5 trillion is allocated to states and localities annually based off of Census results - delivering funds for roads, hospitals, schools and countless other public services. More specifically, this year's results will influence the allocation of $93.5 billion to Federal Direct Student Loans, $19.3 billion to Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers and $12 billion to the National School Lunch Program.
