LEGAL: Disclosing offer details in multiple-offer situations
In general, purchase offers aren't confidential. What may be surprising is sellers can disclose details about offers to other buyers in an effort to get an even better offer. If handled carefully, disclosing the dollar amount or other terms of offers received from potential buyers does not violate a client's confidentiality pursuant to NRS 645.254 (2) nor the Code of Ethics.

  Guidance for Landlords

Last month, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak entered a Declaration of Emergency Directive 008, which established a statewide moratorium on evictions and foreclosures during the State of Emergency. The Directive applies to all acts related to evictions and foreclosures, including those pending in the courts. The Attorney General's Office has published additional Guidance for Landlords, found in the attached link, to be followed at this time.

The National Association of REALTORS® understands that access to health care options may be top of mind for members. Telemedicine is playing an essential role today as we navigate uncharted territory and the need for virtual healthcare.

NAR is supporting members by funding two months of Members TeleHealth as a benefit for those who do not currently have access to telemedicine, with an ongoing significantly-reduced rate available for members thereafter. Additionally, the enrollment period has been extended -- to May 31. Click here for more information.

  Coronavirus: SBA CARES Act FAQs
NAR has been working closely with Congress and the Administration to ensure the interests of REALTORS® and their clients are protected in any federal action in response to COVID-19. Many REALTORS® are small businesses, or work with them as clients.

In the most recent relief package passed into law, the "Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act" or CARES Act, there were significant provisions aimed at assisting small businesses during this difficult time. The CARES Act appropriates more than $360 billion total for new Small Business Administration (SBA) programs - the 7(a) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and the Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) advance grants program.   Senator Cortez Masto Town Hall proves to be hit with NVR members
Nevada REALTORS was proud to host Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D - NV) for a Town Hall meeting to discuss issues impacting its 18,000-plus members statewide, specifically issues arising from the current COVID 19 crisis. More than 400 NVR members registered and attended a ZOOM webinar, featuring the Senator last Friday.

Cortez Masto, Nevada's senior U.S. Senator after being elected in the fall of 2016, fielded many questions but hot topics certainly focused on the federal Paycheck Protection Plan and the hurdles that have come in its implementation. The Economic Injury Disaster Loan program was another key issue. The webinar was not recorded for playback however the Senator said she welcomes follow-up questions.
