  Upcoming NVR webinar to discuss Governor's extension of state's Eviction Moratorium  
  Nevada REALTORS® members who are property managers please take note. NVR is hosting a webinar on the recent extension of Nevada's eviction moratorium. Join PAG Chair Molly Hamrick, NVR General Counsel Tiffany Banks and NVR Legal Information Line Attorney Christal Keegan for this important event. 
 
Special guests include:
  • Nevada State Treasurer, Zach Conine,
  • -NAR's Director of Federal Housing, Valuation, Commercial Real Estate Policy & Programs, Megan Booth and 
  • -Chief Deputy Attorney General Mark Krueger. 
The webinar is set for Thursday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. to get updates on eviction programs and review the rules and practices as we continue to navigate evictions during COVID. The event is an hour plus deep dive into the complexity of the Governor's Directive extending the moratorium. The Zoom webinar is part of a continuing series of webinars offered to help NVR members work their way through the various phases of reopening Nevada. Click here to register.

  Nevada REALTORS® key deadlines approaching  
  A few important deadlines involving the state association are either upon us or will be soon. Nevada REALTORS® is accepting nominations for 2020 Distinguished REALTOR® Award (NDRA) and REALTOR® Active in Politics award (RAP). The deadline for the NDRA and RAP awards is Friday, Sept. 18. Click here for the awards nominations form.

Additionally, the deadline to apply for a 2021 NVR committee is now less than a month away - Sept. 30. Click here to access the committee interest form.

  Congress must act to avert housing crisis  
  As NAR continues to build awareness regarding concerns surrounding the CDC's eviction moratorium, it is important to keep members aware of additional efforts the national association is making on their behalf. The adjacent ad is being run for the next 10 days in Washington, D.C. and targeting leaders on Capitol Hill.

  September is NAR Safety Month  
  NAR continues to host webinars focused on REALTOR® safety. The next one is set for Sept.23 at 11 a.m. PDT. It is titled, "Selling Safely: Because It Can Happen to You." Click here to register for the upcoming event.

Being aware of potential dangers and taking precautions will help you avoid risky situations that can happen to any agent. In this free REALTOR® Safety webinar from the National Association of REALTORS®, Jen Stanbrough, REALTOR®, shares lessons learned since the loss of her close friend and fellow REALTOR®. Stanbrough will discuss the risks agents and brokers face on the job, how to be aware of situational dangers, prepared to keep yourself safe, and avoid risky situations. Jen will also share best habits, tips, and tools all real estate professionals should include in their safety practices.
