The Nevada Women's Fund presented its Salute to Women of Achievement during a mid-day ceremony June 30 in Reno. Nevada REALTORS was proud to see its CEO Teresa McKee recognized as a 2022 Honoree. Additionally, NVR Treasurer Marcella Syme was on hand as McKee's presenter.

McKee has served as NVR's CEO since 2014. She is currently the chair for the Governor's Task Force on Employee Misclassification and sits on the Council of Advisors for UNLV's Lied Institute of Real Estate. McKee received national recognition for her work on association health plans.

  LEGAL: Riddled by Resales

The article in the adjacent link addresses a popular issue often discussed on the Legal Information Line. This article was originally published March 1 and is being shared again because of its importance. The NVR Legal team touches on key points during this current busy real estate era like -- An agent represents a buyer purchasing two condominiums in the same community.  Both condos are owned by the same seller.  The listing agent insists that since both condos are in the same community, the seller should only have to order one resale package. Is this legal?

REALTOR Magazine: Maximize your website to attract clients

Your website is one of the most important tools to market yourself. Make sure you're maximizing its use and attracting clients with these tips.

Even in the age of social media, websites are an important asset for real estate professionals. They act as the equivalent of a personal billboard that announces who you are and what you stand for.

Today, many professionals have at least one dedicated website that may link to their brokerage's website or stand on its own. Some consider it the primary way to appear professional.

But even the best websites are not the way most prospects will find you, says broker Jennifer Ames Lazarre. "Google analytics are far more likely to put consumer sites such as LinkedIn, Zillow,®, Facebook, and Instagram higher in searches, so you also should be on those, too," she says.
