The Nevada REALTORS State Conference is coming soon! The event will offer great speakers like the local inspiration Grant Korgan. The event will also feature speakers from state and national REALTOR Leadership. There will be fun, networking and giveaways for attendees!

After a decade-plus hiatus, the NVR state conference returned in 2018. The 2022 event, presented by title sponsor JFK Financial, marks its fifth-straight year.  It will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency in Incline Village at beautiful Lake Tahoe Sept. 22-23 with a conference-opening reception Sept. 21 at 6 p.m . The corresponding NVR BOD Meeting will also be held Sept. 21.

  NAR offers Photofy app to members  
 

New application will help REALTORS promote 'That's Who We R' campaign' on their own social media channels

The National Association of REALTORS has collaborated with Photofy to allow its members to easily personalize and share the "That's Who We R" social media campaign assets on their social media accounts, helping them leverage the campaign locally.

NAR members can sign up today for free access to Photofy's exclusive toolset. REALTORS who use Photofy can access over 500,000 royalty-free videos and photos or choose from their own camera roll. Additionally, templates pre-made by the Photofy design team are available making it easy to create crisp professional images just for REALTORS.

  Possible economic downturn likely to be mild  
 

YUN: Contracting economy typically means recession, but other economic indicators are likely to mitigate the effects of the slowing economy

The country isn't officially in a recession yet, despite two consecutive quarters of national contraction of the gross domestic product, a commonly cited indicator of an economic downturn, National Association of REALTORS® Chief Economist Lawrence Yun said last week. And several healthy economic trends, including a robust job market, coupled with new efforts to boost affordable housing could stave off a more serious slump, Yun adds.

New guidance from the Treasury enabling state and local governments to use leftover emergency COVID-19 funding from the American Rescue Plan to create affordable housing should help ease the inventory crisis and counteract the effects of a tightening economy. Still, there are questions about whether the U.S. has entered "stagflation," a period of high inflation combined with an economic slowdown. Click here to read more.
