NAR Global Ambassadors, What do they do?

By Marisa Kagan  -  NVR Global Business Committee Member

Marisa Kagan

Global Ambassadors (“GAs”) are U.S.-based NAR members, appointed by the NAR President to serve as his or her ambassadors to real estate professionals and organizations in their assigned country or group of countries. They help maintain NAR’s relationships with its bilateral partners in these countries. Appointees are generally CIPS designees and, ideally, have some knowledge of the real estate practice, culture, and language of at least one of their assigned countries.

My name is Marisa Kagan and I have the honor of being the NAR Global Ambassador to Italy, Portugal, and Spain. NAR Global connects our members to an unparalleled network of over 100 orga- nized real estate associations with over 6000 qualified International REALTORS® around the world. We provide education to help them work with international clients and deliver the business tools to help them successfully globalize their business. Click here to read the full article.

  NAR committee application process open

REALTOR® members can apply to a 2024 Committee and help shape the direction of the National Association of REALTORS®. Now through May 15, members may submit their applications in order to be considered for a committee leadership or member position.

NVR members are encouraged to submit multiple applications (up to five) in order to be considered for all committees they have an interest in serving on. However, members will only receive one appointment, per current policy. Applications are compiled for review by NAR Officers during the NAR committee selection process.

To the extent possible, the composition of committees shall be representative of the general membership. While broad-based representation is desirable, this should not be construed as limiting the president from appointing the most knowledgeable and competent individuals available to serve on committees. Click here to apply for an NAR committee.

NAR Report: REALTORS® recommend improving curb appeal

Findings show homeowners can benefit by remodeling outdoor features

Most REALTORS® (92%) suggest that sellers improve the curb appeal of their home before listing it for sale. Also, the largest shares of REALTORS® recommended owners complete landscaping-related features before putting a home on the market, and those were among the top projects for which landscape professionals saw increased demand over the last year. These and other findings come according to a report released today by the National Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of Landscape Professionals.

The 2023 Remodeling Impact Report: Outdoor Features examines why homeowners complete outdoor remodeling projects, the value of undertaking these enhancements and homeowners’ increased happiness after completing an upgrade. Read more about the report by clicking here
