Contact Congress to Support Fallen Journalists Memorial
Throughout our nation’s history, hundreds of U.S. journalists have lost their lives while doing their jobs, so that the American public could stay informed on important matters and events of the day.

These journalists and media workers not only deserve our thanks and appreciation, they deserve a lasting acknowledgement of their sacrifice. That is why a bi-partisan group of U.S. Senators and Representatives have introduced S. 1969 / H.R. 3465, “The Fallen Journalists Memorial Act of 2019.” If enacted by Congress, the Act would authorize the Fallen Journalists Memorial Foundation to raise private funds to build a monument in Washington, D.C. to honor these journalists who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while reporting the news.
Such a memorial would demonstrate to our citizens and to visitors from around the world that our country values a free press, honors the sacrifices of journalists and supports the family, friends and colleagues of the fallen.
We encourage you to help make this memorial a reality by contacting your elected representatives in the House and the Senate and ask that they sign co-sponsor the Fallen Journalists Memorial Act of 2019.  Thank you for your support.
