Address Emergency Dept. Overcrowding in PA
The Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) is urging Governor Shapiro to address the dire situation of emergency department overcrowding facing both rural and metropolitan communities in Pennsylvania. The breadth of this issue is daunting - an issue that has taken decades to develop, only to be exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We need the public's help reaching out to legislators to let them know that this situation is not only affecting physicians but patients in Pennsylvania. We ask you to share your personal story of being affected by emergency department overcrowding with your legislators to urge the Governor to act on this issue to ensure Pennsylvanian citizens have better access to quality care.
