On Tuesday, Oct. 17, the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners held a press conference in support of Senate Bill 25, and a House Bill that has yet to be introduced by Rep. Nancy Guenst (D-Montgomery County). Representative Guenst has circulated a co-sponsorship memo soliciting her colleagues to sign onto the bill as a co-sponsor.  The proposed bill will be companion bill to Senate Bill 25 that was introduced earlier this year by Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-Washington County). We encourage you to reach out to your local House member and ask that they not sign onto, and support, Rep. Guenst’s independent CRNP proposal. PAMED continues to vehemently oppose Senate Bill 25, and any other legislative proposal to grant independent practice authority to nurse practitioners.
