On New Year’s Eve, the Trump-Vance Administration quietly instituted a near total abortion ban for veterans and their loved ones–a ban with no exceptions for rape, no exceptions for a veteran whose health is in danger, and a ban on abortion counseling in any circumstance.

Legislation to reverse this harmful ban has been introduced in both the House and Senate. While the Senate voted on March 25th and failed 50-48 to pass the legislation, the House has not yet taken up the bill. Now is the time to contact your Representative and tell them to co-sponsor this legislation and see that it gets a vote!

There are nearly 300,000 women veterans of reproductive age as well as queer, transgender, and nonbinary veterans that rely on the VA for health care who will be denied necessary medical care, even in the worst of circumstances.
