Once again, the Trump-Vance administration is attacking the well-being of veterans across the country by banning their access to abortion care. Over the holidays, the administration finalized a rule that bans access to abortion even in cases of rape, incest, and health of the pregnant person.
In addition to pushing abortion care out of reach for veterans and their loved ones, the rule also bans abortion counseling in all circumstances. There are nearly 300,000 women veterans of reproductive age that rely on the Veteran's Health Administration (VHA) for health care who will be denied necessary medical care, even in the worst of circumstances.
Congressional champions are working to pass H.J. Res 144/S.J. Res 103, legislation that would undo this harmful ban. As we near a potential Senate vote on this resolution, it's important that your policymakers hear from you. Contact your members of Congress and tell them to support H.J. Res 144/S.J. Res 103 to rescind the VA abortion ban.
