Last month, the Trump-Vance Administration released the president's budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027. The budget recommends cuts or total elimination of programs that support reproductive well-being and access to healthcare. This includes the proposed elimination of the Title X Family Planning Program (Title X) and the Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) Program. At the same time, the president’s budget proposes maintaining deeply harmful abortion riders such as the Hyde and Weldon Amendments.
All this comes as attacks on Title X continue, with the Trump-Vance Administration also proposing to remake the Title X program into a funding stream for crisis pregnancy centers (fake clinics). Which is it guys??
Next month, congressional appropriators will mark up the Labor-HHS appropriations bill, which includes both TPP and Title X. At a time when people are struggling to access sexual and reproductive healthcare, policymakers should increase funding for programs like Title X and TPP—not eliminate them!
Contact your legislators and tell them to increase funding for Title X and TPP in FY27 appropriations.
