Members of Congress Must Pressure HHS to reinstate Terminated TPP Grants

On August 19th , a court issued a preliminary injunction temporarily pausing the administration’s “2026 policy” that attempted to redirect funding from evidence-based interventions used by Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program to implement programs based in ideology and not science.  This initial decision is a win while the case continues. Unfortunately, the decision does not reinstate the terminated funding. As a reminder, the US Department of Health and Human Services abruptly terminated 53 TPP Program grants in June.

That’s why we need your help! It is critical that Congress puts pressure on the Department of Health and Human Services to reinstate the terminated grants. As the holders of the power of the purse, Congress has a duty to ensure the Trump-Administration reverses course and uses the funds approved by Congress for their intended purpose. Contact your legislators today and tell them to tell HHS to immediately restore the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program grants!
