Right now, communities around the country are using TPP Program funding to provide young people with the life skills that give them the power to decide if, when, and under what circumstances to get pregnant. This includes the ability to communicate about sex, love, and relationships—which let’s face it—can be intimidating for adult champions and young people. Ntarupt, a TPP program grantee in Texas, is just one example where young people and their parents are given the tools and the confidence they need to have these meaningful conversations.
However, the Administration has tried repeatedly to defund the program, and when that failed, to shift the emphasis of the program away from evidence and towards ideology. That’s why we need you to raise your voice as Congress continues to work on a funding bill for next year that could protect the TPP Program. Please, send an email now to your members of Congress.
Urge them to support continued funding for the TPP Program and to also protect the program’s integrity. By doing so, you will help ensure young people who need it most can get the high quality, evidence-based sexual health education and skills they need to pursue the future they want.
