Urge Congress to Support the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program
Communities around the country have used Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) Program funding to provide young people with the life skills that give them the power to decide if, when, and under what circumstances to get pregnant.

However, the Administration has tried repeatedly to defund the TPP program, and when that failed, to shift the emphasis of the program away from evidence and towards ideology. While we have succeeded in keeping the worst from happening so far, we need your help to continue to protect the program

On October 1, the President signed H.R. 8337, a short-term bill to fund the government through December 11 (including the TPP Program). This gives Congress more time to work out a final spending bill for the rest of fiscal year 2021. In the meantime, we need to you reach out to your members of Congress to demand the following:

Make sure any final FY 2021 funding deal includes language to ensure the program maintains rigorous standards of evidence and avoids biased or incomplete information, as the House-passed H.R. 7617 did.
Please email your members of Congress now and urge them to support the House TPP language being included in any final appropriations bill. This will give young people quality, evidence-based sexual health education and skills they need to pursue the future they want.
