- Currently, the Appropriations Committees in Congress are considering FY26 priorities.
- Their report language must direct the National Institutes of Health to follow through on the requirements of the Autism CARES Act, prioritizing new provisions to ensure research efforts reflect the entire spectrum of the autism community, including those with profound autism.
- Fortunately, Representative Chris Smith and Representative Lou Correa are circulating a letter to their colleagues asking them to ensure this language is included.
