Ask Congress To Include People With Profound Autism
Over the past three years, we have asked Congress to include people with profound autism in federal research.

Because of your advocacy, Congress has responded. Language supporting this has been included in legislation for two consecutive years.

That progress matters. But like so many issues affecting people with profound autism, it requires continued attention.

We need your help again.

In 2023, the CDC reported that 26.7 percent of people with autism have profound autism. But the most recent CDC study did not include updated prevalence data for this population.

That gap matters.

Without consistent data, we cannot track trends, understand needs, or advocate effectively for the supports and services people with profound autism rely on.

Please take a moment to contact your members of Congress and ask them to ensure that CDC prevalence studies continue to include people with profound autism.
