In May, Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) introduced a bipartisan Senate resolution (S.Res. 236) condemning Russia’s abduction of Ukrainian children and urging President Trump to demand their return as part of any peace negotiations.
This is a critical step to bringing a just and lasting peace to Ukraine—but it will only work if we keep up the pressure.
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, at least 19,546 Ukrainian children have been abducted and deported to Russia. Thousands of them have been stripped of their names, identities, and citizenship. And now, as President Trump pressures Ukraine to “make a deal” with Putin, one truth must be clear:
The United States cannot abandon these children. Turning a blind eye to their suffering would not only betray our allies—it would betray our values.
As conservative commentator Ben Shapiro said after visiting Kyiv and interviewing President Zelenskyy:
“The Russian government… has abducted tens of thousands of kids from Eastern Ukraine and Crimea back into Russia… Putin has agreed to nothing… and has shown little willingness to make any real concessions at all.”
These are war crimes. But with your help, we can stop them. Here’s what you can do:
📞 Contact your Senators and urge them to support S.Res. 236.
✍️ Tell them: No peace is possible while Ukrainian children remain in captivity, and the United States is uniquely positioned to bring them home.
📣 Share this message and ask your friends and family to join the fight.
Together, we can release the kids and bring peace to Ukraine for good.
