UNC Employees: Stand up for your raises

As part of its recently passed budget, the legislature granted most state employees a 2 percent raise, but set aside $20 million for raises for university employees. The University of North Carolina System Board of Governors has the authority to decide who gets those raises, and how it is divided among both SHRA and exempt employees.

The board will likely consider the raises at its next meeting. Employees must make their voices known before then.

Send the board a message now telling them that you deserve the same raise as other state employees. Tell them to use this money to make a lasting impact on the lives of employees and their families.
