Stop overcharging state employees and retirees on health care!

Hospital lobbyists have launched an all-out assault to convince lawmakers to continue overcharging state employees and retirees for health care.

We need you to stand up now! Tell your legislators to oppose any bill that takes away the State Health Plan's ability to rein in overbilling.

The Issue
The State Treasurer followed through on his promise to cut costs and bring transparency to our State Health Plan by demanding hospitals stop overcharging state employees and retirees for services.

The Plan's Board of Trustees voted unanimously in favor of reforms that will lower costs to taxpayers, increase transparency and put more than $60 million back in pockets of state employees and retirees. SEANC has pressed for the need for reform for many years.

Hospitals and their lobbyists have asked legislators to undo the Board of Trustees' reforms. If they're successful, state employees and retirees will keep overpaying for their health care.

How can you help?
It's your money, as a taxpayer and as a state employee. And you are being overcharged. This results in higher out of pocket medical costs for you and less money on the table for pay raises or retiree COLAs.

Stand up for your family and your coworkers by contacting your representative to tell them to oppose any plans that would block needed reforms by the State Health Plan board.
