COVID-19 Response Must Prioritize Poor People and Organizations that Serve them!
Dear Vincentians,

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to ravage our nation with no end in sight. As we Vincentians take appropriate action to protect ourselves, our families, and vulnerable community members, we are already seeing what this crisis will mean for our critical work--more hunger, more unemployment, more housing insecurity, and more calls for our help.

Congress and the Administration are currently negotiating another response package, and a vote could come within days. It is imperative that we make our voices and those of our friends in need heard in the halls of power. Tell Congress that any additional legislation to combat the COVID-19 pandemic must prioritize people that are hungry, homeless, and jobless, as well as support the organizations on the front lines that serve them. The Society and organizations like us will need help to respond to the coming surge in need.

Thank you for all the work you do and will do to respond to this devastating emergency.

Sincerely,

Ralph Middlecamp
National Council President
