No patient should have to choose between costs and potentially life-saving breast imaging. Unfortunately, many patients must make this choice between costs not covered by insurance and necessary diagnostic and supplemental imaging to confirm a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. This means individuals may face hundreds to thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket costs—all before they even potentially begin treatment.  

The ABCD Act would require private insurance plans to cover diagnostic and supplemental breast imaging without any patient cost-sharing. It would ensure that patients do not face out-of-pocket costs for essential follow-up imaging such as MRIs, ultrasounds and diagnostic mammograms. Take action and tell Congress: passing the ABCD Act will ensure people are not forced to make decisions based on cost.
