• Spike student loan payments for tens of millions of borrowers, extend the maximum repayment term to 30 years, and eliminate financial hardship protections.
• Weaken or remove protections for students against misrepresentation and low-quality, high-cost programs, as well as guarding student veterans against aggressive recruitment by fraudulent institutions.
• Restrict access to graduate school by eliminating the Graduate PLUS loan program, which will force students to either borrow risky private loans or not pursue graduate education.
