Protect Public Health: Oppose HB2396/SB0162 and HB2471/SB2304

Bills that would ban fluoride in public water systems statewide are moving forward in the Tennessee Legislature. We need your voice now to help stop them. 

The Bills

  • HB2396/SB0162 by Representative Michele Reneau and Senator Joey Hensley
  • HB2471/SB2304 by Representative Susan Lynn and Senator Mark Pody


These bills would override local decision-making and prohibit Tennessee communities from fluoridating their water. Removing fluoride would increase dental disease, drive up treatment costs, and harm vulnerable populations, especially children and seniors.

We urge you to contact your legislators today and ask them to oppose HB2396/SB0162 and HB2471/SB2304 to protect Tennesseans' oral health.
