The time to stop Medicare payment cuts in 2023 is now.
As the end of the year grows near, Congress has just 25 days to stop the devastating 4.42% scheduled pay cut from going into effect on January 1, 2023.
There is legislation before Congress that addresses the flawed Medicare payment system and provides much needed relief to patients and practices throughout the country. H.R. 8800, the “Supporting Medicare Providers Act of 2022," by Reps. Ami Bera, MD, (D-California), and Larry Bucshon, MD, (R-Indiana) aims to reform the Medicare payment system to make it simpler, more reflective of real-world physician practice costs, and stable for both physicians and patients.
The bill currently has 108 co-sponsors in the House. We need your help building support and momentum for its passage by contacting Tennessee leaders and asking them to sign on and vote "yes" in the lame duck session.
Time is running out and the cost of inaction is too great. Contact Congress today and tell them to cancel the cuts!
