Research is clear: paid leave increases breastfeeding initiation and duration, supports maternal and infant health, and strengthens family well-being. Yet, only a fraction of workers in the U.S. have access to this critical benefit, leaving millions without the time they need to care, recover, and bond.
Right now, Congress has a chance to change that by passing the Family and Medical Insurance Leave (FAMILY) Act—legislation that would establish a comprehensive, inclusive national paid leave program for the vast majority of working people in the United States.
Let’s speak out together. Take action to educate Congress on how a national paid leave program can support breastfeeding, improve health outcomes, and make a difference for American families.
