Help and Protect Pregnant Students and their Children Now!
Many young women in college are under the impression that, if they become pregnant, abortion is the only option that will allow them to continue their education and build a successful life. Worse still, some schools may promote this false story, which is also a form of discrimination.

Fortunately, Congress has re-introduced the Pregnant Students' Rights Act (S.3627/H.R.6359), a bill to make sure that colleges and universities readily provide information to their students on the rights, accommodations, resources, and services available to them to help them carry their baby to term and succeed as a parenting student. This life-saving information would be easily available at orientations, health and counseling centers, on websites, and through emails each semester. Students do not have to choose between the life of their child and pursuing the life of their dreams.

You can read the bishops’ letter of support for the legislation here

The House of Representatives passed the Pregnant Students' Rights Act! Now it's time for the Senate to take up the bill, which is expected this week!  After thousands visited the nation's capital to take part in the annual March for Life, now is the time to voice your support for legislation that supports mothers and their children. Tell your senator now to vote “Yes” on the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act to help young women find the support that exists for a bright future for both themselves and their babies.
