Commend the Department of Education for Regulations that Protect Religious Students
Student organizations on college and university campuses should be able to select leaders and members who share the organizations’ goals and mission. But religious groups—including Jewish, Muslim, and Catholic student organizations–have been discriminated against for requiring that their leaders uphold and practice the religious teachings espoused by the organization.

Religious groups should not be singled out for exclusion from benefits that are available to everyone else.  The Trump Administration’s Department of Education (DOE) has proposed regulations that would ensure that religious student groups are eligible for the same rights, benefits, and privileges that a campus affords to other student groups.

DOE has invited the public to comment on the proposed regulations.  To be considered, comments must be filed on or before February 18, 2020.  You can support religious freedom by commending the DOE and urging the Administration to adopt these regulations.  Make your voice heard today!
