Further Action Needed to Save Babies Born Alive!

Thank you to all who urged your U.S. representative to sign the discharge petition to force a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.  The good news is that 199 House Members have signed the petition.  But we still need 19 more to sign it to force a vote on this life-saving legislation.

If your Member has not signed the petition, please copy and paste the following message into the message body.

“Please support the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 962) by signing the discharge petition and voting to pass the bill. According to data from states and the Centers for Disease Control, along with testimony of medical staff, some babies survive an attempted late-term abortion and are born alive. But rather than receiving the same care as any other newborn baby, some of these babies are then left alone to die, or even killed. It is happening because federal law, and the laws in 21 states, are insufficient to stop it.  This is deeply offensive and shocking to the American people, who by an overwhelming majority want Congress to pass H.R. 962 and help ensure that every baby born alive is given a chance at life.”

If your Member signed the petition, it is equally important that you thank him/her today by copying and pasting the following thank you message into the message body.

“Thank you for signing the Discharge Petition to force a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.  Please continue to urge your House colleagues to sign the petition and vote to pass this critically important bill.”
