More than 60 million Americans live with chronic pain. Yet despite its enormous impact on individuals, families, workplaces, and our healthcare system, chronic pain remains one of the most misunderstood and under-researched health conditions.
Without reliable, standardized data, researchers struggle to answer critical questions about who is affected, which treatments work best, and where gaps in care exist. This legislation would help change that by improving chronic pain data collection, identifying research gaps, creating consistent definitions for chronic pain research, and establishing a centralized resource to help translate research into better patient care.
Better data fuels better science.
Better science leads to better treatments.
And better treatments offer hope to millions of people whose lives are impacted by chronic pain every day.
This legislation sends an important message: people living with chronic pain matter.
Now it's our turn to send a message.
Please take just a minute to thank Senators Kaine, Cramer, Kim, and Daines for recognizing the urgent need for stronger chronic pain research and for introducing this bipartisan legislation.
Your voice helps demonstrate that the chronic pain community is paying attention—and that leadership on this issue is appreciated.
